Coke teamed up with The Salvation Army in Australia to recreate the magic of the iconic Christmas Truck tours in the Northern Hemisphere, and bring a bit of cheer to regional communities this Christmas.
While it was not quite the festival of lights and wonder promised in Coke’s press release – “filled to the brim with hampers and Christmas surprises” – there was a steady stream of refreshment thanks to brand ambassadors from Brisbane.
And to be fair to the truck, t’was a little bright for fairy lights on this midsummer’s afternoon.
Upbeat modern Christmas music emanated from the truck as children posed for photos and cooled off with a chilled water (or parent-sanctioned Coke).
Importantly, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour is also supporting The Salvation Army through a series of community events delivering food, facilities and the chance to come together with family and friends.

In Mount Isa, The Salvos will be treated to an invite-only cinema event on Friday, December 8.
Having delivered its refreshing oasis to the Outback, Coke’s Christmas Truck now trundles back to Sydney to conclude the tour at Carols in the Domain on December 17.
