The latest incidents added to the horror already experienced on south-east Queensland roads over the weekend, after two women were killed in a crash on the Warrego Highway on Saturday.

In the most recent crash, a 17-year-old man was killed after hitting a power pole on Kamarin Street in Manly West about 3.20am on Sunday.

The young driver was the only person in the car and the Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.

Meanwhile, a police officer was dragged along the road while trying to arrest two men driving a stolen car in Logan.

Officers spotted the stolen car parked on Christopher Street in Slacks Creek about 11.25pm on Saturday night.

They then tried to arrest two men who returned to the vehicle and started the engine. There was a struggle before the stolen car accelerated, scraping a police car and dragging the officer for a short distance before speeding away.

The constable was treated on the scene for an injury to his elbow and investigations were ongoing.

Police have also released more information regarding the double-fatality crash on the Warrego Highway at Minden, west of Brisbane.

A hatchback sedan carrying three women crashed into a power pole and a ute just before midday on Saturday.

The 67-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger died at the scene. A third woman, 21, was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries.

The 37-year-old male driver of the second vehicle involved suffered only minor injuries.

The Warrego Highway was closed until about 6pm and Forensic Crash Unit investigations were continuing.
