“All of the staff on our ward decided to buy new shoes, and we ended up with about 50 pairs of adults and children’s shoes for our patients on Mornington Island,” Mr Bundhoo said.
“When they come to the hospital they don’t have good footwear, and they get infections.
“We saw we could easily help, so we just used our own money to go out and buy some shoes.”
The shoes were delivered to Mornington Island Hospital last week.
Mr Bundhoo said the next project was collecting Christmas gifts for Laura Johnson Home residents.
