2018 Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest entrant, Beck Hodshon, is hosting a Speed Dating event  that could see some lucky locals find love before Valentines Day.

Claiming to be a romantic at heart, Ms Hodshon thought she would play cupid and assist single ladies and lads to find their Mr or Mrs Right.

She said being a new year, it was the perfect time for anyone to take that step out of their comfort zone and try something new, even for one night.

“This event has no strings attached. It will be held at the Red Earth Hotel on February 10 in a stress free and fun environment for people to meet and get to know someone new,” Ms Hodshon said.

“Each table will even have a list of possible question to ask to keep things moving no matter how shy you may be and each single will have the opportunity to speak with every other single on the night and decide if they would like to see that person again.

“All matches will be notified privately at the end of the night and contact details will be exchanged.”

All singles must be over 18 and book a spot quickly as there is only 26 spots (13 each).

Tickets are $60 each which includes food and all profits will go to support Ms Hodshon’s chosen charity, LifeFlight.

Ms Hodshon said the night will include good food, cold drinks and great company.

“Some may find love or others may just enjoy getting out and socialising in a new place for the night.

“All profits from this event will be going to my amazing charity of choice: LifeFlight.”
