Police have charged a 25-year-old man with a number of offences following investigations into a wounding incident at Normanton on January 12.
It will be alleged that around 8.50am at a residence on Woodward Street, a woman received four knife wounds to her abdomen after being assaulted by a man at that location.
It will be further alleged that the man forced the woman into a vehicle and attempted to leave the scene, however the woman was able to escape by exiting the moving vehicle. The man fled the scene in the vehicle.
The 25-year-old Normanton man has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm (domestic violence), wounding (domestic violence), deprivation of liberty (domestic violence), and contravention of a domestic violence order.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Monday, January 15.
Police continue to appeal to any members of the public who may know the whereabouts of the vehicle pictured to contact them immediately.
It is a 2008 Ford Falcon XR6 sedan bearing Queensland registration 298 LLR.

Investigations are continuing.

At about 8.50am at a residence on Woodward Street, a woman received four knife wounds to her abdomen after being assaulted by a man at that location.
The man forced the woman into a vehicle and attempted to leave the scene, however the woman was able to escape by exiting the moving vehicle.
The man fled the scene in the vehicle.
The man and the woman are known to each other.
The woman was transported to Normanton Hospital for treatment of her serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
