The clinic is located next to Sunset Butchery near the Overlander Hotel.
A huge crowd spilled from the meeting room onto the pavement as CEO, Dallas Leon, said he would like to thank his team and their supporters who tirelessly commit to make the clinic the success that it is.
“We choose this position for the second clinic in Mount Isa because we know there is a high population of indigenous people in the area and as a primary health service, we want to be accessible to as many people as we can,” Mr Leon said.
The increase of patients over the last year has seen growth and expansion within the clinic.
“We are hoping it continues as we would like to see more doctors come here and patients to utilise the facilities,” he said.
Gidgee Healing offers incentives to indigenous people who attend health assessments.
“We offer a free shirt for every health assessment completed.”
