Sign up is from 10-1pm and secretary Retha De Beer said they were calling for all players but especially under 16 juniors for mixed teams.
“Sign up to one of our amazing clubs, Pirates, T Birds, Aces or Hornets,” she said.
“They all need players and sign on is free.”
A sausage sizzle and a “come and see if you like it” trial will be part of the day.
“We decided to change the Junior games to Friday evenings instead of during the day and seniors to Saturday evenings take advantage of the cooler weather,” Ms De Beer said.
The Mount Isa Hockey Association are also asking for volunteers to help clean up the fence line on Sunday, February 11 at 5pm.
“I came up with a whippy snippy competition, where teams of people with a whipper snipper tidy up the fence line, the team that does the best job in the best time wins. A prize is awarded for the winning team on the day,” Ms De Beer said.
“Depending on the amount of interest we are looking at having a barbecue and our licenced bar will be open.”
