Cloncurry Heat showed good improvement in their second outing of the Mount Isa T40 cricket season but still fell short in their game against Panthers on Saturday.

The home side Heat batted first in the clash in Cloncurry and at the top of the order opener Brad Rix compiled a solid half century making 54 runs.
There were also good contributions from H. Raghunath who made 28, Alan Abdy who made 27 and down the order A. Crisp who finished with 23 not not.
The Curry finished up with 9/177 from their allotted overs.
Luke Graefe was best of the bowlers with impressive figures of 3/19 off his eight overs.
He got solid support from B. McCormack who took 2/40.
Callum Fullilove (1/33), R. Snowball (1/17), M. Genocky (1/8) and N.Pradip (1/16) also chipped in to take wickets.
In reply all of the Panthers batters made solid starts to make good inroads into the chase.
Openers N. Pradip and D.Clark brought the total up to 40 before Pradip was dismissed for 19.
Clark was next to go with the score on 80, he was dismissed for 43 runs.
His dismissal brought Michael Pritchard to the crease to join Daniel Tucker and the numbers three and four successfully steered Panthers past the total to 179/2 with no further loss, reaching the taregt in 21.2 overs.
Tucker ended up 71 not out while Pritchard made 38 not out.
H. Raghunath (1/28) and S. Shepard (1/32) were the wicket takers.
The Curry have another home round this weekend taking on Townview on Saturday at 3pm.
