On Saturday, the Waitangi day game was a success, with many players, newbies and spectators attending.
“It was great to see such a turn out of people for the Waitangi Day match even though it heated up pretty early.”
Spectators were treated to a showdown when both teams fought like champions.
The teams drew in an action-packed first quarter.
New Zealand took the lead in the second quarter by two points but by the third quarter the two teams were drawn again.
The last quarter saw New Zealand amp up the pace and blow the World out of the court with a victorious 27-17 win.
