The confectionery company announced the recall on Thursday, stating that a “machinery fault in the manufacturing process” was to blame.
They urged customers to not consume the chocolate and return the chocolate to the place of purchase for a full refund – no proof of purchase required.
“Our analysis of the samples received to date has determined that this product does not appear to pose a serious health risk, but a recall has been initiated to prevent the risk of minor injury,” the release said.
The product has only recently returned to the shelves for a limited time, after it was originally discontinued in 1994.
