UnitingCare Queensland is offering 10 school-based traineeships and 10 adult traineeships in 2018 to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. UnitingCare’s Gavin Mackey said successful trainees would attain a relevant qualification, equipping them with the knowledge and hands-on practical skills that will set them up for future employment opportunities. “We have opportunities right across Queensland including Mount Isa.”

Each applicant will get a workplace cultural mentor to guide and provide support to the trainee and ensure the workplace is providing a culturally safe environment.
Expressions of interests are sought from people who are interested in gaining Certificate III level qualifications in the Business Administration, Community Services, Customer Service, Health Services, Food Services and Individual Support (Aged Care, Disabilities and Home and Community Care.
