The Bureau of Meteorology are still saying the severe weather system is expected to shift slowly south over the North West district during today, in its 11am update.

There have been some massive falls recorded including Carsland north-west of Cloncurry copping 298mm in the last 24 hours.
Areas of heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding, are expected to accompany the low as it shifts slowly southwards.
Cloncurry is cut off east and west with the Barkly Hwy, Flinders Hwy and Dajarra road all closed out of town.
Damaging winds may occur near the low. Isolated locally destructive winds are also possible with thunderstorms.
“Currently the heaviest rainfall is occurring over the northwestern interior between Mount Isa and Cloncurry, with scattered 24-hour rainfall totals between 75mm to 150mm with isolated falls up to 300mm possible,” the BoM said.
Locations which may be affected include Winton, Mount Isa, Cloncurry, Julia Creek, Boulia and Dajarra.
Other rainfall totals recorded for the last 24 hours to 9am Saturday:
Black Gorge (southeast of Mount Isa has recorded 159mm
Greta Station (northwest of Cloncurry) has recorded 153mm
Miranda Creek (northeast of Mount Isa) has recorded 134mm
Cloncurry has recorded 106mm
The Monument has recorded 104mm
Julia Creek has recorded 59mm
