The BoM said Mount Isa had a 90% chance of showers.
The chance of a thunderstorm, with possible heavy falls in the late morning and afternoon.
Winds southeasterly 20 to 25 km/h tending easterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening.
Cloncurry River:
Rises will continue downstream to Canobie during the week. Further heavy rainfall is possible during the next few days.
The Cloncurry River at Cloncurry is currently at 3.93 metres.
River levels at Cloncurry are expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) during Monday.
With further heavy rainfall possible during the next few days, renewed river levels are likely.
A tropical low over western Queensland is forecast to move north or northwest during the coming days and may move into or near the southern Gulf of Carpentaria from Tuesday or Wednesday.

In the longer term, the monsoon trough is becoming more active in the Gulf of Carpentaria and a tropical low may lie within the trough.
