The main sponsors for the Julia Creek annual Dirt n Dust triathlon are throwing out the challenge to all businesses and offices to get out from behind those computer screens and get dirty in April.
The Delta Corporate Team Challenge was an initiative aimed at corporate offices around the region to encourage workplace teams at the South32 Senior Triathlon on the weekend.
Triathlon training is a great team building exercise and creates a healthy and fit office environment.
Businesses are encouraged to put together a team of 2-3 people to compete in the triathlon.
It can be a great way to fundraise, boost office morale or just give workers an excuse to get out from behind that desk.
Dirt ‘n’ Dust Committee President Stephen Malone said there is no better place to come for anyone hoping to get out and away from the daily grind.
“The Outback is about as far away from a corporate office as you can get,” Mr Malone said.
“Competing in the triathlon is a bonding exercise for teams - you really need to be able to lean on each other and encourage one another to battle Australia’s toughest sprint triathlon.”
“It’s a perfect challenge for offices and businesses to take up.
“Even if you don’t compete in the triathlon yourself - everyone in the office can come out and cheer on your workmates.”
“We already look after your office technology but now we want to look after your workers wellbeing,” he said.
Delta Office Solutions Managing Director Liz Buckley said get out from behind that desk, get training and join us at the 2018 Julia Creek Dirt n Dust.
Teams who sign up for the Senior Triathlon as part of the initiative also have access to an exclusive Delta camping area and will go into the draw to win prizes.
Teams are also encouraged to dress up and get the best selfie with the Delta Selfie Frame at the pre-race briefing to win prizes.
The 2018 Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival will be held on 13-15th April 2018.
