The community neighborhood centre managed by Centacare NQ, is producing a ‘Celebrating Cloncurry Culture Cookbook’.
Residents are being asked to submit their favourite family recipe to mark the diversity of the town.
Senior community worker Jo Moore said they will include everything but the kitchen sink in the book.
“It is full steam ahead at the moment,” Ms Moore said.
"We need at least 50 recipes to complete the book and so far we have about 18.
“We have teamed up with the kindy and aged care facility to include as many people as we can and we are expecting to get a lot of recipes from them,” she said.
Ms Moore said they had already received Indigenous, South African and New Zealand recipes.
“We want to link the community together and celebrate how diverse we are,” Ms Moore said.
“The cookbook will be professionally published and is going to be released in November.
“There is one week left to submit your recipes, you can do that by emailing me jmoore@centacarenq.org.au.”
