Warrigals captain Michael Scotney is confident his team will be able to secure the premiership this year.
“It has been Warrigals and Euros in the final for eight years,” Scotney said.
Euros stole the premiership trophy last season 14-8 in a nail-biting final against Warrigals.
But Scotney said Warrigals will come out on top this year.
“I think we have had a good season, we had a few players leave town but we are still looking good and have been a lot more consistent than Euros,” Scotney said.
“The only thing we’re worried about is Euros have a lot of big players and when they get a bit of a roll on and their confidence is up, they are hard to stop.
“I think it is going to be a pretty close game but I am confident we can win by 10. We want a convincing win.”
Scotney said the team is injury free and ready to battle it out on the field.
“We have a full side and everyone is fully fit, it is the fittest they have been all year,” he said.
“Training can be hard because most of our team does shift work so depending on the week we may only have four players at training. But we had a good team run on Monday and we’re looking good.”
Scotney said he is hoping for a big crowd of supporters at the final.
“In past years we have had a few thousand down for the final, I hope we can get a decent crowd to the oval.”
Euros captain James Ulisala said the reigning champions are ready to put their best foot forward.
“Warrigals didn’t play last week which means they have had a week of rest which is an advantage for them,” Ulisala said.
The team is really excited and they just want it to be game day already.

“We plan on just sticking to the basics and focusing on the small things. The team is really excited and they just want it to be game day already.
“We are hoping to come out with a victory and have a big celebration with friends and family after the game.”
Ulisala said the team had a shaky start to the season.
“It has not been our best season,” he said.
“We were pretty bad at the start of the season, I think we lost about seven games in a row,” Ulisala said.
“But the last couple of weeks we have turned it around and started winning. We think we can win this.”
Euros and Warrigals will fight tooth and nail for the premiership trophy at the rugby union grounds on Saturday.
Kickoff is at 7pm.
