Townsville Fire’s Mia Murray has played in the Women's National Basketball League since 2006.
Since then, Murray has played for the AIS, Adelaide Lightning and Townsville Fire.
Considered dangerous at both ends of the floor, Murray’s size makes her a difficult match-up for opposition teams and her shooting ability from beyond the arc ensures that she spreads the court.
Melbourne Boomer’s Courtney Duever hails from Texas, USA.
Following two league-leading seasons with the Sunbury Jets in the Big V (Victorian State League), the Texan forward jumped at the chance to step up into the WNBL with the Boomers and had settled in well over the team’s opening four games.
She had to sit out the remainder of the season due to an ACL injury.
