Sam Woodard from Eidsvold, Queensland took out first place in the open bull ride on Sunday night.
The rider didn't have too much to say after managing to cling onto his bull, Jalapeno, for the required eight seconds.
"Yeah it was a pretty good ride, wasn't too bad," Mr Woodard said.
Mr Woodward has been in "well over 100 rodeos" since he started competing back in 2012 at 18-years-old.
"I always wanted to do it growing up. My younger brother competes too," the now 23-year-old said.
Isaac Westerhuis from Camooweal came in second place and Mount Isa's Donavon Rutherford rounded out the top three.
