A special Isa Rodeo Legends social program is being developed to recognise the incredible contribution of past rodeo champions, their families and past and present volunteers of the Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo Inc (MIRRI).
The program will commence on Wednesday, August 8, including a Breakfast with the Legends, participation in the Isa Street Party Parade, Bush Poets Breakfast, Rodeo Hall of Fame official opening function and Legends Pass to the 2018 Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo (a four-day pass with reserved seating in the arena), personally guided chute tour and Birthday Bash Concert and fireworks finale on Sunday, August 12.
If you know a past Isa rodeo champion, are a family descendant or have been a previous MIRRI volunteer, you can register your interest to receive information on how to purchase the Legends Program.
For further details contact The Legends program coordinator, Deanne Chetty via email: deanne112@hotmail.com
We have now sold more than 90 per cent of reserved gold seating, so please get in quickly if you would like to ensure reserved seating.
Also very popular are the chute tours during rodeo, which are only available to gold seat holders.
Guided by Isa rodeo queens or our rodeo protection athletes, the tours give you a cowboy’s eye view at what goes on when competitors are preparing to ride a one tonne bull or bucking bronc.
Tickets are available on our website, www.isarodeo.com.au/tickets
We are also very close to announcing the theme and ticketing details for Isa’s night of nights, the Rodeo Ball, which will be held on Saturday evening, August 4.
We already have keen guests putting together their tables of 10, and contacting our office to reserve their tables.
It’s going to be a fabulous celebration of our 60th rodeo, so stay tuned for more details soon.
