Charity Queen Tegan Ferris was responsible for more than half of the money raised.
Mount Isa Mines Rodeo manager Natalie Flecker thanked the women for their hard work.
“Thank you for the outstanding effort you have put into the 2017 Isa Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest, representing the Isa Rodeo as ambassadors for our event and of course, the huge task of raising funds forn your chosen charities,” Ms Flecker said.
“A job well done and we hope you are as proud of your efforts as we are.”
Charity Queen Tegan Ferris presented her cheque of $24,337.45 to Young People Ahead Board member Trish Macnamara.
Rodeo Queen Bec Hodshon presented her cheque of $6,570.24 to Jim Lillycrap from LifeFlight.
Courtney Johnstone presented her cheque of $5,417.10 to Emily Thompson, Sabrina Montaldo and Greg King from The Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Ms Flecker also thanked the charities for supporting their entrants and the Isa Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest, the local community for supporting the various fundraising activities and queen quest coordinator Sharnee Lloyd, and her assistant Di Atkins for their voluntary assistance giving the entrants valuable support and guidance during the year.
“Thank you to our queens, our combined Rotary clubs, the generous businesses and individuals who donated or gave up time to assist and to the Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo Inc (MIRRI) Board,” Ms Flecker said.
“We are looking forward to another successful year in 2019 and are in the process of finalising our quest entrants.
“If you are looking for an amazing experience, which will be both hard work but very rewarding, I would really encourage you to consider entering next year’s queen quest.”
The Queen Quest has seen dozens of women and one man raise many hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities over its long history.
