James Maurice John Jeffrey, 22, pleaded guilty to stealing and being drunk or disorderly in a premises in court on Monday.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Vaughan Cooper told the court on October 15 police were called to the corner of Isa and Camooweal streets where witnesses said they saw a man walk into a business and come out with a fire extinguisher, which he sprayed on the street.
Sergeant Cooper said police approached Jeffrey, who had white powder on his feet, knees and pants.
He said a short time later at 4.45pm police were called to The Club and saw Jeffrey walking away from the venue. A witness said Jeffrey had been inside acting aggressively and had snapped a pool cue across his knee, Sergeant Cooper said.
Defence lawyer Tisara Gunasekera, for Jeffrey, said prior to the incidents his client had worked a night shift and then drank rum and coke with a friend.
Magistrate Rod Madsen sentenced Jeffrey to a 12-month good behaviour bond.
