"It's important to us that we represent your views and be your voice on Council. Mount Isa needs a Council that will consult, engage and listen, only then will Councillors be able to make decisions with the full support of the community. I'm so proud to introduce to Mount Isa, the Mount Isa Community Team," Ms Slade said.
Bernard Gillic, the General Manager of the Mount Isa Irish Association was born and bred in Mount Isa and is married with four children and one on the way. Mr Gillic said everyone had a special place and his was Mount Isa with his family.
"I want to ensure that my kids can have the upbringing I had in the Isa and I want to see the town back on a positive path, attracting new families and businesses. I want less pressure on ratepayers in the form of reduced rates and affordable water. I believe I am running with a team that can make all this happen."
Thomas Heffernan (Tom), is a Mount Isa born and bred and rate payer for 40 years. Tom has put a lot of time and energy into volunteering with many sports and local organisations over the last 40 years.
"I am passionate about Mount Isa and its people. It's really hard to see Mount Isa in this state and that's why I have joined the Mount Isa Community Team. Our common goal is to make Mount Isa an affordable and safe place to live for everyone," Mr Heffernan said.
Gary Abel, who is Mount Isa born and bred and owns his own business. "I've lived in Mount Isa for over 52 years and I've stayed here because of the Mount Isa people, who make it a great place to live and work, but it's starting to be unaffordable," Mr Abel said.
"I've decided to run for council because I want to see Mount Isa back to the great city it once was. I'm willing to work as hard as I can to make sure that the community is back on it's feet and once again, the Mighty Isa."
Natasha (Tash) Hydon moved to Mount Isa a couple of years ago with her husband and was delighted to feel so at home and immediately welcomed by this wonderful community. Natasha quickly became involved in the community, joining in many groups and activities and she has volunteered at a number of community events since making Mount Isa her home.

Tash has a long history of serving the community having worked in both local and state government in Victoria and Queensland for over 25 years. Tash is keen to serve the people of Mount Isa by being a fresh voice, an interested pair of ears and ideas generator as part of the Mount Isa Community Team. She believes that residents deserve a choice and a voice and her goal is to make that an ongoing reality for all residents of Mount Isa and Camooweal.
Lesley-Ann Peterson has lived in Mount Isa for 22 years and has brought up her two children in the city. "I've always been committed to volunteering my time for local events; which include the Mount Isa Show and the Cancer Care Unit Biggest Morning Tea. I also introduced the Mount Isa Light up the Night for Leukaemia," Ms Peterson said.
"I tend to work behind the scenes and quietly go about finding solutions for problems facing our community. I'm a great listener to anyone who needs help or is in a crisis, or for those who need to just have a chat. I am passionate and committed to our community and working together with our team, I believe we can create solutions."
James Bambrick was born and raised in Mount Isa and is a proud Aboriginal man with family extending from the Pitta Pitta to the Kalkadoons. James, an underground operator at Mount Isa Mines, is married with two young children.
"I'm not shy about voicing my opinion and have always stood up for the community. I believe that community engagement and understanding what the people of Mount Isa want such as reducing rates and water charges, are at the core of a successful Council," Mr Bambrick said.
