It's the second visit in a week by Mr Ryder who met with Cloncurry Mayor Andrew Daniels last week, and tomorrow plans to meet with mining managers to shore up support for JetGo's proposed service.
JetGo Australia is a new provider of Air Charter & Fly In Fly Out services for Australian Industry.
Mr Ryder said JetGo Australia had applied to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for approval for its Brisbane-Cloncurry route, and expected a positive response in 2-3 months.
"Last week's visit was from an operational point of view, and we met with Mayor Daniels.
"The airport is sufficient and its services are good," he said yesterday.
"We think there is a substantial market from Cloncurry to Brisbane."
JetGo Australia plans to fly its Embraer 50-seater jet three days a week initially, with the possibility of expanding to include a Cloncurry to Cairns flight.
Mr Ryder said he had met with Ivanhoe mining representatives and hoped to meet with Ernest Henry Mine management.
He said securing mining contracts was vital to the service which required about 65 per cent capacity to be viable.
Tomorrow's JetGo flight is due to land 9.15am, and returning to Brisbane about noon.
