The single actor says his sole responsibility, his puppy Ollie, will be taken care of by his dad.

''I would have moved there when I was 20, but I have had consistent work here,'' he says. ''But I had a meeting over there with my agent and decided I'm going to move there in January - Dad's more excited about getting Ollie than missing me!''

Jacobz says his month filming in LA has him pumped. ''I'm exhausted but I've met some absolutely fabulous people. Alicia Keys was really sweet and One Direction are the coolest kids - their bodyguard is bigger than Beyonce's. From day one when I was randomly introduced to Lindsay Lohan and then met Cameron Diaz in the gym and bumped into Kimbra and had a coffee - it's got this buzz, I can't wait to go back.''

Sources say Edelsten has been splashing cash on Brynne's mother, who has just arrived from the US, in an attempt to grovel his way back into Brynne's affections after the blonde was hurt and embarrassed by a recent scandal, which happened just as she is about to launch her Channel Seven reality TV series: Brynne: My Bedazzled Life.

''He's trying to calm the waters,'' one good friend of his wife says. ''He's an idiot and a serial self-saboteur.'' The controversial businessman was caught out squiring a much younger New Jersey woman on online dating site, Sugar Daddy For Me, and lavishing her with expensive gifts during a three-day secret getaway in Florida in March. The fallout has been documented in the series, which will air post-Olympics.

''Every time something great is about to happen for him, he blows it - it's total attention-seeking behaviour,'' the friend says. ''How humiliating for her, I mean, this is a couple who have been going to counselling and in serious discussions about having children together - it just makes her look stupid and it's really devastating. This latest incident has opened wounds she thought they had definitely dealt with through counselling and were moving on, and, bang, this came out of nowhere.''

MANU'S COQ-UP

Things have gone from bad to worse for chef Manu Feildel since he was spotted lying on the floor of a Perth nightspot simulating oral sex on fellow TV chef George Calombaris.

The engaged Frenchie, who cheekily offered his ''coq'' dish at a food expo two weekends ago, has had to dramatically pull out of his first City2Surf, which he was signed up to run for kids' charity Camp Quality, due to ''scheduling conflicts''.

S is sure his recent risque, rock-star behaviour had nothing to do with it. While a Camp Quality spokesman wouldn't comment on Feildel, he did say their mascot, ''Giggle'', has stepped in to replace the chef and that their other ambassador, Lauryn Eagle, was well on track for the race. She tweeted last month: ''So excited … good playlist and coconut water is all I need.''

MISSING MIRANDA

Former David Jones publicity supremo Annie Kelly, who opened her own company, The Agency, three months ago, has definitely succeeded at her first mission, managing to keep her charge, supermodel Miranda Kerr, completely under wraps while in Sydney for the past two weeks. A mission impossible in itself.

The much-photographed Victoria's Secret model has managed to keep crafty prying paparazzi lenses away in a cat-and-mouse-style chase, staying hidden. What's more, her husband, Orlando Bloom, also managed to sneak into Sydney on Monday from a direct flight from London, right under the paps' noses, S moles saying he got off his plane and headed to the taxi queue and hopped into a cab while hidden under a cap and sunglasses.

''She's done an effing good job!'' exclaimed one pap, who usually manages to snap even the most low-key of his celebrity targets. ''They've just evaporated, vamoosh! It's sent us into a spin.''

The master effort has seen an undercover cloak-and-dagger operation while Kerr spends a whole two weeks here with her hubby, baby Flynn and family. Kerr's personal chef, Kate McAloon, is also in town preparing meals for the family, who are holidaying in a top-secret location ahead of the model's gig at DJ's Spring-Summer launch on August 14.

The steamy relationship between X Factor winner Reece Mastin and Home and Away star Rhiannon Fish keeps getting hotter.

Recent intimate shots of the couple after a night together were sold for $10,000 to OK! magazine.

In the pics, Fish, 21, was wearing the same clothes Mastin had been wearing the day before.

S snoops say they spent another three nights together last week, Mastin also consoling Fish after the recent loss of her ''Grampa'', who she called on Twitter ''my hero, a true gentleman and the sweetest man I'll ever know''.

Mastin, 17, has certainly been living a rock'n'roll lifestyle since he won the talent show, left his family in South Australia and signed with Sony. Not only did he ink himself further on Thursday with another tattoo, he was spotted with a bottle of vodka on a recent night out in Darlinghurst - even though he is four months shy of his 18th birthday.

Fish, who met Mastin during the making of his video clip Shout It Out, ended her two-year relationship with live-in love Lincoln Lewis only five weeks ago. The now single Tricky Business star Lewis, who has moved back to his family home since the split, said last week: ''Sometimes things happen and they're not what you want.''

In the antique and artistic setting of the Billich Gallery, in The Rocks, and wearing a Collette Dinnigan gown, actor Krew Boylan wed her partner, Andrew Baud, on Friday.

The Balmain girl, who is about to star in Channel Seven's new drama A Place to Call Home, was tended by her bestie bridesmaid Rose Byrne, who created none of the onscreen shenanigans she did in the hit film.

Byrne shared the bridesmaid duties with Boylan's sister, Jodi. Guests from Sydney, New York and Singapore celebrated afterwards amid crystal chandeliers and marble fireplaces at the Country Trader in Waterloo.

With his status at the Nine Network reinstated and two new projects on the horizon, Jamie Durie can reflect on his own relationship with Kerry Packer with good humour.

''I remember him saying something along the lines of: 'Gee, you're shorter in real life, aren't you?' and I said: 'Yes mate, but I pack a punch' and he said: 'I know that - you've been standing on my wallet for the last five years.''' ''There is a serious message to get through and I have had several people in my family affected by cancer,'' he says. ''One in every two Aussies is affected by the age of 85.''

The Cancer Council hopes to raise $9.2 million from its 12,000 sites and army of 10,000 volunteers on August 24.

With a November release date, publishers at Pan Macmillan are wetting their lips in anticipation of the headline-grabbing Kyle Sandilands's book, tentatively titled ''Scandilands''.

The radio heavyweight posed for the cover of the book last Tuesday and his publisher, Tom Gilliatt, said he was reading the manuscript, although he had ''no comment to make at this stage''. As the title suggests, the book is sure to be packed with the drama that surrounds Sandilands's amped-up life full of hamburgers, fast cars, fast women and nightclubs. Even the book's ghost-writer, Bruno Bouchet, is no stranger to controversy. He was sanctioned by Southern Cross Austereo last year, reinstated and then sacked for his jokes on Twitter after the Batman tragedy in Colorado.

The bitch is back. Michala Banas was happy to reprise her mean-girl role as Tiffany Turner in Tuesday night's Winners & Losers, telling S she didn't hesitate when they asked her to come back. ''I had such a ball the last time,'' she said. ''The fake hair, fake boobs, fake tan and fake nails; it's just a really fun environment to be in.'' After a trip to Paris and Bali with her boyfriend, Banas is excited about a coming hush-hush project. ''I can't talk yet!''

Ever the trouper, Kerri-Anne Kennerley has just returned from a 10-day trip to Africa, where she filmed a story for Seven's Sunday Night. The perennially upbeat industry legend, who is between radiotherapy treatments for a breast lump she discovered during her stint on Dancing with the Stars, told S it was a ''magic, magic, magic'' story and an incredible trip. ''I cannot tell you,'' she said with a laugh. ''There was three days of camping, no running water, no electricity - can you imagine? I'm such a princess - but you do what you have to do!'' Shouldn't she be taking things easy? ''It's ducking and weaving,'' she said with her trademark brand of enthusiasm.

She can't be seen in Olympic brand Sportscraft's swanky new advertising but the label has retained Kristy Hinze's services. The model mum, who has kept herself busy designing canine couture since giving birth to baby Dylan, is still an ambassador for the brand, although she was absent from a flower-filled lunch on Wednesday to celebrate Sportscraft's history and new season at hip new eatery the Apollo, in Potts Point. Frosty fashion glares crossed the room with axed Vogue editor Kirstie Clements finding herself surrounded by new Voguettes, now known as ''Ed's girls'', in reference to the gaggle who were formerly at Harper's Bazaar and have switched bunkers alongside incoming Vogue editrix Edwina McCann.

Superstar dancing export Henry Byalikov is the reason Leo DiCaprio looks so light on his feet in The Great Gatsby. The dancer, who appears on the American Dancing with the Stars and the Aussie version of So You Think You Can Dance and has starred in Graeme Murphy's Suite Synergy and Burn the Floor, is back for a brief visit from his LA base to audition for Strictly Ballroom: The Musical. He should be a shoo-in. After all, the Sydney boy was hand-picked by Baz Luhrmann's choreographer, John O'Connell, to teach Gatsby's lead actors, including DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, how to dance for the film. He spent two days with the stars and told S: ''I personally had a fantastic experience working with Leo, Carey and Tobey. John got me to work with them over a two-day basis and they are all definitely well co-ordinated and come out trumps. They all took to it really well. They are extremely hard workers, which is a testament to why they are all so successful.''
