With today marking the 60th National Meals on Wheels Day, the dedicated band of volunteers at Mount Isa Meals on Wheels are celebrating their service with specially decorated cupcakes served with extra cheer.
The Mount Isa Meals on Wheels first began with one of the city's most respected residents, Anne Morris, who began cooking for others from her own kitchen in 1980.
The invaluable service began in Australia in 1952 in South Melbourne by a woman who delivered the meals on a tricycle.
