Elliott won the final in 1:05.32 seconds at Tollcross International Swimming Centre on day two of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
It was a great night for the Australian swim team with the men's 4x100m freestyle relay winning gold, with Leiston Pickett winning the women's 50m breaststroke event and Thomas Fraser-Holmes and Cameron McEvoy going one-two in the men's 200m freestyle.
