He keeps a Storm Trooper outfit at home mostly because of the Imperial soldier’s distant links to his favourite character, bounty hunter Boba Fett.
It's a trap!"
- Admiral Ackbar
Naturally, he is psyched to watch The Force Awakens.
“It will be awesome, it will be totally different...no, it won’t be the Phantom Menace, J.J Abrams will be fixing it,” Mr Harris said, although predicted Abrams would not be able to resist throwing in unpopular character Jar Jar Binks.
But unfortunately, Mr Harris’s list comes into conflict this week. He was unable to watch the midnight screening of Star Wars VII at the Mount Isa Cinema early Thursday morning, choosing to wait for his fiancée’s birthday next Monday instead to oblige her work commitments.
It will be their first major test since they became engaged in Germany earlier this month, and if he watches Star Wars without her it may trigger galactic civil war.
“She better know it,” he laughed. ”I will have to stay off Facebook so it doesn’t get spoiled for me.” Unfortunately, much anticipated game Fallout 4 was ruined for him on social media.
The Mount Isa Cinema manager Jodi Saunders unintentionally made the wait harder when he was getting a photograph in his Stormtrooper outfit for the article, when she encouraged him to make an appearance at the midnight screening to increase the event’s atmosphere.
Almost at the same time, as he was taking off his outfit, Ms Renault phoned and encouraged him to go to the screening without her.
But in the words of Admiral Ackbar, “it’s a trap!”
Star Wars now shows at the Mount Isa Cinemas.
