The 2016 Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo Queens presented more than $70,000 to their chosen charities at a presentation ceremony last week.

The three women presented cheques worth $70,211.96 to three local charities - Ronald McDonald House, Paws, Hoofs and Claws and the North West Queensland Mental Health Network.
Rodeo Manager Natalie Flecker paid tribute to the efforts of Rodeo Queen Chelsea Beckmann, Charity Queen Sarah Brisbane and Rodeo Queen Runner-up Renaee Gattera.
What an amazing contribution you have given not only to your charity, but to the overall Mount Isa community,” Ms Flecker said.
The combined fundraising efforts achieved a grand total of $139,000 with the addition of payments made to charities and community groups.
Charity Queen Sarah Brisbane presented her cheque of $32,557.34 to Paws, Hoofs and Claws’s Sue Carson and Paula Boon.
Rodeo Queen Chelsea Beckman presented her cheque of $28,114.22 to Ronald McDonald House representatives Jessica Hall, Cristina Davis and Sean Russel.
Runner-up Renaee Gattera presented her cheque of $9,540.40 to North West Queensland Mental Health Network representatives Saberina Gasio and Jodi Martyre.
Ms Flecker also thanked queen quest coordinator Sharnee Lloyd, and her committee members Donna Cole, Louise Brogden and Di Atkins for their assistance.
“We are looking forward to another successful year in 2017 and will be calling for entrants shortly,” she said.
