Mining at Rocklands halted when the Department of Natural Resources and Mines suspended operations in February. The mining company had not updated health and safety reports to account for new processes on site.
The Department allowed operations to continue from Friday, February 24. The company has since used its processing plant, by harnessing its stockpiled ore.
Interim chairman Peter Hutchison acknowledged that corporate distractions had impacted the perspectives of CuDeco shareholders “for far too long”.
“I am pleased to say this is almost behind us now, and with mining commencing imminently I am confident we are finally heading into a period of robust performance,” Mr Hutchison said.
A review of the company’s health and safety management plan is yet to be completed, but the external audit commissioned by CuDeco is expected to be completed this month.
