Dart Vaders, The Originals and new team Bull’s Hitting are in the lead with 40 or more points each.
Wayne Tindale of Dart Vaders said he is very happy with the teams position with 44 points in the lead.
“We are very much hoping to take out that top spot, we have been runners up in both the last two comps so hopefully taking it out would give us the confidence to go on a win the A grade championship," Tindale said.
The fairytale of the comp has been the team ‘Travelling Bradbury's’ who, after finishing in last place in 2016, now hold 4th spot having played out their bye.
Team leader and inspiration Rob Bradbury said he was over the moon.
"I only last year won my first ever game of darts so to be now up there with the big guys and holding our own is unreal," Bradbury said.
This year’s female contribution has been sensational with four of the teams containing female players; Rachael Ferguson, Linda Gupoil, Linda Robinson and Racheal Mino.
