The winner of the competition wins a GoPro Hero 5.
MIETV business manager Angi Matveyeff said entrants in the competition would use video to share their unique experiences available in the north west region.
“Social media is very visual and authentic images and video of real people enjoying and sharing their experiences is captivating,” she said.
“Travellers rely on social, video and photo sites for trip inspiration.
“Video is key for inspiration and planning and represents approximately 74 per cent of all internet traffic.
“The more video content we have access in the promotion of the region, the better.”
Submit the video at http://woobox.com/4vye57. It can be a series of images or video up to 30 seconds in length. Entrants must use the hashtag #OutbackDirt.
The competition closes midday, June 12.
Ms Matveyeff said special effects were not necessary.
The competition follows a similiar social media campaign by Outback at Isa last year called Dirty Little Secret.
“Through this very successful campaign we recieved quality images of people enjoying the region,” Ms Matveyeff said.
