There were two items on the agenda, both in closed session. The first is a sponsorship request from Mount Isa Race Club and the second is a proposed ablution block at Buchanan Park. Items resolved in closed session in the May 11 meeting were:
Council approved the development application for an additional 7 x 2 bedroom detached dwellings at Laura Johnson Home 15 Clarke St.
Council awarded the Civic Centre orchestra lift contract to ITE (Installation Theatrical Engineering) for $298,000.
Council agreed to a request to use the former abattoir site for 12 months for up to 13 camels.
Council renewed a land lease arrangement with Department of Defence.
Council made a submission supporting the Liquor (Rural Hotels Concession) Amendment Bill 2017.
