Tuesday June 13 – Women’s basketball preliminary finals:
On Tuesday the women’s A-grade teams competed with Wahine Toa defeating Celtics, 54-35.
Wahine Toa will play against Blazers in the grand finals on Saturday at 6pm.
Players to watch out for are Krystle Chong, Lisa Parker and Shaqeigha George for Blazers, the favourites to win.
Wahine Toa players to watch include Kimberley Munroe, Mareta Alexander, and Wairita Emery.
In the women’s B-Grade Hoopers beat Diamonds 22-18 in a close match.
Hoopers will play Sonic in the finals at 3pm.
Amy Thomas, Jennifer Anderson are Sonics players to watch while Hoopers’ Emma Quilty and Emma Stanton will be hard to defend.
C-grade women’s Divas defeated Mount Isa Mangoes 40-32, and Divas will play against BAM Semi Pros at 1pm on Saturday.
BAM Semi Pros players to look out for will be Betty McGarbey, Julie Hanlon and Kimberley Stokes.
In Divas watch out for Nadene Hardie, and Aaliyah Harrison.
Men’s grades A, B, and C will compete on Thursday night.
Finals start at 1pm on Saturday with food, drink, and entertainment from Mount Isa School of Dance.
Entry is $2 at the courts on Sports Parade.
Tonight, Thursday June 15 – Men’s basketball preliminary finals:
6.30 C-grade mens – Brathas vs. Phillipines
7.30 B-grade men’s – Celtics B vs Phantom
8.30 A-grade men’s – Celtics A vs Homeboiz
The winning team for C-grade will play Young Bucks in the finals.
The winning team for B-grade will play Kings in the finals.
The winning team for A-grade will play Pandemonium in the finals.
Friday June 16 – Junior grand finals from 5.30pm
Saturday June 17 – Senior Grand final day:
Senior grand finals this Saturday starting 1pm at the Multi-Sport and Recreation Centre, Corner Jessop Drive and Sports Parade, Mount Isa.
