“We have the showjumping ring, two hack rings, in-hand and showmanship classes, a dressage ring, sporting events, and working horse classes with judges travelling from Cairns and Charters Towers to judge the classes,” Ms Loney said.
Ms Loney said the Show at Buchanan Park would have some new feature events.
“There is the Off the Track showcases for thoroughbred racehorses turned showhorses, with support from Mount Isa Race Club,” she said. “There is also junior and senior 6 Bar showjumping and a double barrel race event.”
She said they had local events for local riders only and junior events for the kids. “We have been lucky to have received a great amount of support from local businesses and organisations which has largely in part allowed the horse events program to return”. The show is on Friday and Saturday.
