Figures on arrival times released by Budget Direct show that Mount Isa Airport is the most reliable airport in Australia when it comes to on time flights.

The first figures for Mount Isa are from 2012 and show a delayed rate of 11 percent.
That rose to 14.7 percent in 2013 and went down to 10 in 2014 and dropped to seven in 2015 then six in 2016.
According to Budget, Mount Isa Airport topped the list for Australian airports in 2016 with the most on time flights, coming in at 93.9%
Lauren Holton, Outreach Coordinator at Budget Direct said their tool allows fliers to compare airlines and airports on no cancellations and on-time arrivals.
“Mount Isa has been recognised for having over 93% of flights leaving the airport run on time, which is up quite a bit from 2013, where only 85.3% of flights ran on time,” Ms Holton said.
“Being a leader in this area is a great accomplishment for the airport, which also reflects well on the city of Mount Isa.”
