Isa Council and the Laura Johnson Home are sponsoring this free concert for seniors and persons with a disability. Residents of the Laura Johnson Home who cannot make it will have their own private performance. Morning Melodies with the Chris Cook Band is on Monday at 9:30 am and afterwards at the Laura Johnson Home.
There there will be a 30 minute lunchtime performance for their residents in the Dining Room.
Mount Isa’s Councillor for Seniors, Jean Ferris, said it’ll be a great morning of fun and entertainment with free morning tea and refreshments.
"Chris is an enthusiastic and engaging performer with over 35 years experience and is one of Slim Dusty’s greatest fans,” said Cr Ferris.
“Chris plays energetic country guitar, toe-tapping fiddle and is highly polished on the bluegrass-hillbilly banjo as well.”
