Queensland Premier, Hon. Annastacia Palaszczuk, arrives in Mount Isa on Friday to attend the Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo, and a number of official engagements.

On Friday afternoon, Ms Palaszczuk will officially open the 2017 Mount Isa Mines Rotary at Buchanan Park.
On Saturday the Premier is turning the first sod on the soon-to-be helipad at Mount Isa Hospital at 9.30am, followed by a walk-through of the Children’s Hospital at 10am.
At 10.30am, Ms Palaszczuk will officially open the office of new ALP candidate for Traeger, Danielle Slade.
At 11.15am she will open the Friends of Urandangie Desert Border Indigenous art exhibition.
On Saturday Ms Palaszczuk will return to watch the rodeo action at Buchanan Park.
Ms Palaszczuk last visited Mount Isa in 2015 when she also attended the Mount Isa Rodeo.
