Chief Executive of the North West Hospital and Health Service Lisa Davies Jones said they had lots of activities and interactive displays planned, with plenty of entertainment for both children and adults.
“Someone will even walk away with the lucky door prize: a team-signed match-worn Cowboys jersey at the end of the weekend,” Ms Davies Jones said.
“We also have a health circuit competition, courtesy of the Irish Club Gym, whereby entrants need to get a stamp from every exhibitor to win a twelve month Irish Club gym membership and three personal training sessions,”
Children are also set to be entertained with a special children’s corner, a colouring in competition, a jumping castle on the Civic Centre lawn, and face painting with Smudges.
This is third hosting of the event which is aimed at providing an insight into the wide array of health related services available to the Mount Isa community and surrounding region.
There will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to get physical over the two day program with dance, fitness and even yoga demonstrations to join.
Ms Davies Jones said local dance academy Dream It, Live It (Di-Li) would conduct dance demonstrations for children and adults.
“Also Anytime Fitness will get us going with a Tabata class, the Mount Isa Irish Dancers will be demonstrating their amazing talents, and the Outback Line Dancers will keep us all in line,” she said.
“There are still opportunities to be get involved with this significant event, and we hope to announce some more surprise appearances in the next week.”
