The Ladies Cocktail Night was the perfect opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a night out with friends.
Buffs Club marketing and events coordinator Tullita Miller said they do a fundraiser every year but wanted to try something a little different.
“The whole idea for me was to give the ladies a break and let their hair down,” she said.
“Some people have been through some tough times – whether it’s cancer or a lot going on at work – so we wanted this to be all about them.”
Ladies were treated to food platters, a lolly buffet, pink cupcakes and pink cocktails.
Ms Miller said the cause was close to the hearts of many women in attendance.
“We see that it happens so much locally and we are a small community, we wanted to help them [Mount Isa and North West Queensland Breast Cancer Support Group] because we see they help the community and that’s what Buffs is about,” she said.
“We’ve been able to raise quite a few thousand dollars, which is really lovely.”
Sanctum Medi Spa Retreat were treating the ladies to free nails, while Amcal and Miglio Designer Jewellery provided items to give away.
All the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Mount Isa and North West Queensland Breast Cancer Support Group.
