The police prosecution was prepared to file evidence against Mr Baker, but the matter was adjourned (again) until next week.
His Legal Aid Queensland solicitor Rhianna Batt applied for the adjournment and said she had “lost contact with Mr Baker”.
Mr Baker must appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on November 6 or face a warrant for his arrest.
Mr Baker faces three counts of fraud, two counts of stealing as a person in public service, and misconduct of a police officer. He resigned from the Queensland Police Service as a Sergeant based in Camooweal before disciplinary action was taken against alleged actions, and was extradited from the Northern Territory in July.
