Punters and animal lovers donned their finest rags and dressed to the theme, with kitty ears, feathers and fur taking over.
Foster carers Aleace Cunningham and Natalie Harrison put on the ball to raise money for not-for-profit animal charity, PHC, for which they are committee members.
Ms Cunningham said on Sunday afternoon the final amount had yet to be counted, but it was big.
“Our goal was $15,000 and we’ve reached over $10,000 so far. The multi-draw raffle alone raised $1685, so we are just over $11,000 now,” Ms Cunningham said.
“We’re just really happy that everyone had a good time, and we’re feeling really proud of our efforts today.”
A silent auction will continue online this week, with interested bidders able to source a new bathroom from Reece, with three different packages to bid on.
The post will be shared on Facebook, all are welcome to bid, and the winner will be announced on Friday November 17 on 4LM.
Sue Carson thanked the work of Natalie and Aleace in hosting and organising such a successful fundraiser.
“Everyone was very supportive, which was wonderful to see. It certainly looked like they were enjoying themselves on the dance floor,” Ms Carson said.
