Police are encouraging Mount Isa residents to consider home security features, such as security screens on doors and windows, after a burglary occurred where offenders have smashed a window to gain entry to a home:

On November 14, police charged a 13-year-old girl with four charges of graffiti. The girl will appear before the Mount Isa Children’s Court at a later date
At 3am November 15, police attended a disturbance on the corner of Barton and Prosser Sts. It will be alleged a man was arrested after disturbing neighbours and threatening to assault police several times. A 28-year-old man was charged with public nuisance, to appear before Mount Isa Magistrates Court on December 4.
On November 15, a 11-year-old boy was arrested and charged with breach of curfew conditions. The boy will appear before the Mount Isa Children’s Court.
Between 5:30am November 13 and 2pm November 14, offenders gained entry to a house on West St by smashing a front window. They stole $60 in coins from the kitchen and 12 beers from the fridge.
