Both the Caravan Park Upgrades and the Short Stay Accommodation were officially opened last month by Federal member for Maranoa, David Littleproud.
The Caravan Park Upgrade has provided four two-bedroom cabins, three amenities blocks, two shower blocks, a laundry block, a camp kitchen, and 10 new powered sites.
The $2.1m cost was co-funded by the federal Dept. of infrastructure and Regional Services and Queensland state development who both provided $500,000 with Diamantina Shire Council stumping up the rest.
