A man charged with two offenses associated with illegal mining will reappear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on January 18 after his case was adjourned.

On December 8, Cloncurry Magistrates Court on heard the charges against Campbell Lloyd Pattison, who carried out illegal gold mining at Star Cross Station, Selwyn.
Mr Pattison allegedly extracted 54 ounces of gold between November 2016 and February 2017 valued at between $85,000 and $140,000.
The court will hear of an eight month investigation conducted by the Department of Natural Mining and Resources and Queensland Police.
He has been charged with one count of carry on mining operations without authority and one count of entering upon land to carry on mining without authority.
