Boulia landholders can opt for land valuation notice in 2018

Queensland landowners are being encouraged to receive their statutory land valuation notice and other valuation information by email.

State Valuation Service Acting Executive Director Brett Bowen said with more than 492,000 landowners in 22 of Queensland’s 62 rateable local governments due to receive new land valuations in March 2018, now was the time to sign up for this convenient service.

“Landowners have until 5pm on Friday 26 January 2018 to sign up for the email service,” Mr Bowen said.

“Receiving land valuation notices by email saves paper while giving landowners instant, secure and confidential access to their land valuation notice and the easy-to- print PDF version can be filed in personal records.

“More than 176,000 properties have had email service addresses provided by landowners who will enjoy the convenience of receiving their valuation notices electronically.

“Landowners who sign up for the email service will have same-day, safe and secure access to their land valuation notice.

“Apart from valuation notices other valuation information; such as the Valuer-General’s property market movement report; will also be sent electronically to landowners who have provided an email address.”

Mr Bowen said opting to receive land valuation notices by email was quick and easy.

“Landowners can visit the Queensland Government’s land valuation website or opt in on the Land Queensland Facebook page,” Mr Bowen said.

“Landowners only need to have the property identification number and their current postal address and, of course, an email address.

“Property identification numbers are found at the top of land valuation notices or by using the Queensland Globe if your property has been valued since 2015.”

The only north west local government area that will receive land valuations in 2018 is Boulia.

The other 21 local government areas applicable are Banana, Barcoo, Bulloo, Central Highlands, Charters Towers, Diamantina, Douglas, Fraser Coast, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Goondiwindi, Hinchinbrook, Isaac, Maranoa, Murweh, Noosa, Paroo, Quilpie, Scenic Rim, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.

Landowners can have more information emailed to them or find it on the website by visiting or calling 13 QGOV (13 74 68).
