Branches Performing Arts looks forward to fulfilling the high demand for dance lessons in Cloncurry. With 19 years dance experience under her belt, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) graduate and principle teacher Amy Tinning has delivered quality dance training to eager students across North West Queensland.
Since opening her studio in 2015, Ms Tinning has had the pleasure of being based in Julia Creek, under taking casual dance teaching projects in neighbouring towns Richmond & Hughenden.
Offering classes in Cloncurry this year will be another step in the right direction for Ms Tinning who is a passionate advocate for regional arts.
Ms Tinning’s previous career in dance has seen her perform in many corners of the world, from France to Spain, Taiwan to China; this rurally raised dance teacher returned to her grass routes four years ago with a passion to share her love of dance.
“Of all the places that dance has taken me, regional Queensland has been the most gratifying place to find myself”, Ms Tinning said.
On Saturday February 3, from 3:00pm - 4:00pm, the dance teacher will host an Open Day held at Cloncurry Shire Hall.
She encourages those interested in signing up for dance lessons to attend.
Ms Tinning says, “Open Day for Cloncurry dancers will be a great opportunity to find out more information about all of the styles on offer, as well as secure a place in popular classes”.
It is anticipate that classes will run in conjunction with the school term, with lessons scheduled to take place each Saturday. The official time-table will be released once enrollments have been processed following the buzz of Open Day.
Ms Tinning encourages, “anyone with the desire to move, groove and stay fit should sign up.”
With fun and inclusive classes offered in; Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Flip n Flex, Gum-nut Baby (kinder dance) and Body Conditioning (adult), dance hopefuls will surely find the right classes for them.
