The work includes new traffic lights, pedestrian crossings and footpaths to improve safety of pedestrians and cyclists at this busy intersection near several schools.
Opened prior to the end of the school holidays, the new signals mean the supervised school crossing on Duchess Rd has closed.
Crossing supervisors are on site in the early days to educate local students about using the lights.
