The torrential rain didn’t stop rugby union diehard teams on Saturday night with Euros defeating Cloncurry then Warrigals battled with Keas.

The rain made for some pretty impressive sliding and slips during the games.

Euros came out on top winning the match against Cloncurry 19-7.

The three tri scorers were J.P Viiga, Victor Malua and Tana Ravouvou.

Marty Paulson converted two of the tri’s.

Tri scorer for the Cloncurry team was Hamish Crisp with the conversion kick by Josh Elliott.

The female referee for the game was Vanya Foster who braved the rain and showed empathy to the players on each team.

The second game saw Warrigals beat Keas 15-5.

Next Saturday is the first semi-final games with Euros taking on Cloncurry.

The winner will go into the next semi final while the losing team will drop out.
