At the end of last year a new committee was formed with a new focus – to build on the current structure of the event, to capture performers from new areas, improve the profile of the event through marketing and sponsorship deals and to improve the overall running of the event.
Newly elected president Kate Hartley said the committee were extremely appreciative of all the new committee members for jumping in and lending a helping hand.
“Registration is still open for another two weeks,” Ms Hartley said.
Currently 312 entries have been accepted and the committee are waiting for the mad rush to hit as the close date nears.
“We are expecting an increase in competitor numbers and entries and with the entries we have so far it shows a good sign.”
Ms Hartley said adults are welcome to compete in the open section of speech/drama, music, Highland and Irish dance as it provides a benchmark for the younger ones to aim for.
Programs will be released in early May and entries can be registered online at www.stardom.com.au until Friday March 23 at 5pm.
