The Fountain Springs MTB Classic premiere event will be held on Saturday May 26.
The gruelling track consists of 55km of rugged terrain for more experienced competitors and a 20km trail for those new to the sport.
Club spokesman Adrian Cameron said they were holding a sausage sizzle on Sunday April 22 at BCF between 9am-3pm to raise funds for tracks around Mount Isa.
“We have some great sponsors on board so far; Something in your ears, Toby Head Electrical, BCF, Sunset Butchery and JTMEC,” Mr Cameron said.
“Race preparations are coming along well and the guys have been out checking the track.
We are encouraging people to register early but last minute entries will be taken until 12pm Friday, May 25,” he said.
Information and registration forms are available from Stack City MTB or the Fountain Springs Facebook page.
